The Role
Falcon West Insurance Brokers is growing, and we are looking for a top-flight Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our expanding team. This is not just a data-entry role; we are looking for a true advisor capable of managing small and mid-market commercial insurance accounts.
You will be managing a diverse book of commercial lines clients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our clientele includes small to mid-market businesses in various industries. What You Will Do
- Manage the Lifecycle: Provide outstanding service to commercial lines clients from start to finish, handling renewals, policy changes, billing inquiries, and claims follow-ups.
- Analyze & Advise: Assess personal insurance needs to recommend appropriate coverage, identifying gaps in General Liablity, Workers Compensation, Business Auto, Professional Liablity, D&O, Cyber, and more.
- Market & Negotiate: Communicate effectively with carriers and underwriters to secure the best options for your clients.
- Protect the Agency: Maintain impeccable records in our Agency Management System (AMS) to ensure accuracy and E&O compliance.
- Grow the Book: Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities (like adding Excess or Cyber coverage) to better protect your clients.
What You Bring to the Table
- Commercial Client Experience: Comfort handling complex risks and Commercial Client carriers is a significant plus.
- Tech-Savviness: You are comfortable working remotely, troubleshooting basic IT issues, and navigating carrier portals and comparative raters efficiently.
- Resilience: You can handle the current "hard market" conversations (rate increases) with empathy and strategy.
- Organization: You have a specific system for tracking follow-ups and ensuring no client request slips through the cracks.
- Systems Knowledge: Experience with AMS360 or Applied Systems is a plus. Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word is required.
Qualifications
- Required: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License.
- Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree OR 3+ years of experience in personal lines account management/customer service.
- Preferred: Professional designations such as CISR, CPRM, or CIC are highly respected.
