Peter Brecht

Peter began his career in the insurance industry in 2019 after more than a decade working in his family‑owned business. That experience taught him firsthand what it takes to run a company day-to-day, manage risk in the real world, and make decisions that affect both the business and the family behind it.

His background in client service and business operations gives him a strong foundation for helping businesses and families find reliable, tailored insurance coverage. Today, much of Peter’s work centers on commercial and business insurance, where he helps owners understand their risks, structure practical insurance programs, and keep coverage aligned with how their operations actually run. He still writes the Insurance Market Update for property owners in California, which reaches over 3,000 people each quarter and focuses on how changing insurance market conditions affect real people and real properties. In addition, he leads the Falcon West Academy program, providing professional rugby athletes with a paid internship focused on commercial insurance.

Based in San Diego, California, Peter provides personal and commercial insurance solutions to clients throughout the West, including California and Colorado. He started his career focusing on home, auto, and rental property insurance, and that foundation still informs how he advises clients on their personal coverage today. As his practice grew, he expanded to serve business owners who need personalized, responsive support and a broker who can connect the dots between their business and personal insurance.

When he’s not assisting clients, Peter enjoys spending time with his wife (a retired professional surfer) and their two children. He also loves reading and writing, and you are likely to find him exploring new independent coffee roasters or checking out cars along the Southern California coastline.
