Darrick leads our Energy and Marine insurance team, using his background of over 15 years of experience operating and maintaining oil rigs.  A graduate of Cal Maritime Academy, Darrick’s formative experience was working for multiple offshore oil drilling companies as an engineer and subsea specialist all over the world. Darrick holds a USCG chief engineer unlimited license as well as an IADC Well Control supervisory level certificate. He draws on that knowledge in putting together property and casualty programs for companies working on and offshore in the energy and marine space. He attributes his breadth of field experience into his success in helping underwriters understand his clients and schedule the appropriate coverages. Darrick and his wife, Jessica, met on an offshore rig and both now also enjoy trying to keep up with their two active young children.
